Dve Mogili Winery was established in 1947 and for many years it was a part of Vinprom Ruse – the state alcohol monopoly. Cabernet Sauvignion wine, product of Dve Mogili Winery, won the bronze medal at the 1996 Selection Mondiale competition that took place in Montreal, Canada. In the following year, a Silver Diploma prize was awarded to Cabernet Dve Mogili at the Zurich International Wine Fair. In 2015 the Twin Peaks 2013 coupage wine, product of Dve Mogili Winery, was distinguished with the golden medal at the International Exhibition of Vine Growing and Wine Producing VINARIA.In 2016 the aged red wine Magnifique2013 Merlot Barrel Fermented won the golden medal at VINARIA International Exhibition, along with the silver medals awarded to the Twin Peaks Chardonnay 2014 white wine and the Jubile 2015 red coupage wine.
Since 2005 Dve Mogili Winery has been owned by the joint stock company Shato Danubia. In 2006 were produced the first quantities of white and red wines from the series DveMogili Village.In 2010 DveMogili Winery was awarded a certificate of LOMOVETE regional brand provided by the Rusenski Lom Nature Park Directorate. The brand is granted for eco-friendly agricultureproduction that promotes biodiversity protection and contributes to sustainable development of the Nature park.
LocationThe town of Dve Mogili is situated in the eastern part of the Danube hilly plain near the south bank of the Danube River.
A considerable part of its territory is within the limitsof Rusenski Lom Natural Park.
The relief of the vineyards is hilly-ridden and towers on the southern bank of the Danube.
Carbonate black earth soils with a medium sandy-clay composition. They have good air and water permeability.
The climate in the Lower Danube plain has a pronounced dry, moderate continental character.
